Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) operating under the aegis of Pathfinder group have declared their resolve to deliver a sweeping electoral victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, even as they also called for the return of former Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, as the party’s governorship candidate.

The strategic gathering, which brought together party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and loyal stakeholders across the Lagos-West Senatorial District, in Badagry, focused on strengthening party unity, deepening grassroots engagement, and consolidating structures needed to ensure overwhelming success at the polls.

In a demonstration of unwavering loyalty and political foresight, the stakeholders announced that comprehensive strategies have already been mapped out to secure President Tinubu’s victory while repositioning Lagos State for renewed progress through the return of Ambode, whose tenure many continue to describe as marked by visionary leadership, discipline, and transformative governance.

Leaders at the meeting stressed that coordination, unity, and sustained grassroots mobilisation remain central to the APC’s winning formula.

According to them, the district is determined not only to protect the party’s dominance but to expand its reach through people-oriented engagement and strategic political organisation.

The call for Ambode’s return added fresh momentum to the gathering, with many describing him as a tested administrator whose legacy in infrastructure, financial prudence, and governance excellence still resonates across Lagos.

In his address, the director general of Tinubu, Ambo Support Group, Dr Seyi Bamigbade, commended the Lagos-West stakeholders for their commitment to grassroots mobilisation, describing the move as timely, strategic, and reflective of the political maturity required to sustain the APC’s progressive ideals.

He praised the Pathfinder group for keeping faith with the party’s core values and for demonstrating that victory in 2027 would be driven not by rhetoric, but by deliberate grassroots work and popular support.

Political observers, in their comments, said the Badagry declaration is a significant political signal that support is steadily building for both President Tinubu’s re-election and the possible return of Ambode, as consultations and alignments continue ahead of the 2027 electoral season.
