APC NASS Group Begins Mobilisation For Tinubu’s Reelection

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Assembly Legislative Aides Support Group (ANALAG) has commenced mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and the return of APC lawmakers in the 2027 general elections.

The national coordinator of the group, Amb. Ayoola Ronke Fakunle disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja, saying the group planned to mobilise at least one million supporters in each of the 36 states for the elections.

Fakunle said the group, comprising legislative aides and supporters of lawmakers, was committed to supporting the president and legislators at the grassroots.

“Our aim and objective are to support Mr President for his re-election in 2027 because of the good work he has been doing for Nigeria.

“The lawmakers have also been performing wonderfully well. They are our principals, and we are in support of them,” he said.

Fakunle, who is also the Women Leader of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum (NASLAF), commended Tinubu for taking what she described as bold steps to address longstanding economic challenges, including the removal of fuel subsidy.

She, however, urged the government to strengthen support for education, healthcare and young graduates to cushion the impact of economic reforms on citizens.

Fakunle, who had aspired for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency of Kwara, said the group has coordinators across the 36 states and would commence grassroots mobilisation nationwide after its activities in Abuja.

Also speaking, Barr. Mike Anibueze, ANALAG national secretary, said the group was formally launching its mobilisation activities to support the president’s re-election bid and the return of lawmakers in the 2027 elections.

He said the group would leverage its grassroots networks to mobilise support for the administration and its candidates.

Anibueze called on the government to sustain efforts in education, healthcare, and other areas that directly affect citizens’ welfare.

Another member of the group from the South-East zone, who identified himself as William Onyemaechi, said legislative aides were well-positioned to mobilise support at the grassroots because of their close connection with their various constituencies.

Onyemaechi urged Nigerians, particularly youths, to support the administration, citing the removal of the fuel subsidy and efforts toward local government autonomy as among its policies.

He said the benefits of some reforms might take time to manifest fully, urging Nigerians to be patient with the process.

Similarly, Hajiya Halimat Akokhia expressed support for Tinubu, saying members were prepared to mobilise voters for his re-election in 2027.

She said the group believed the administration had made progress since assuming office and would continue to support the president.
