APC, PDP Members Join LP In Southern Kaduna

The Labour Party (LP) has received several political decampees from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.

Labour Party deputy governorship candidate in the state, Hon. Bashir Idris Aliyu, who hails from the local government received the decampees at Mararaban Jos, shortly before the local government party office was unveiled.

 

He said over 50,000 of his well wishers from the local government have already followed him to the party but only receiving symbolically those present at the formal decamping program.

Aliyu who was a one time majority leader and acting speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly said Labour Party has come to rescue the state and urged all and sundry to support the party for a better Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

 

One of the decampees, Hajia Dada Mohammed, said left PDP for the Labour Party because having worked for the former party for years, there is nothing to show for it.
“The APC has inflicted so much pain on the masses, so let’s try another party and I know with the various party candidates, if this party wins, Kaduna State and Nigeria will be better”.
Another decampee Hon. Abduljalad Shehu said, both the APC and PDP have failed, hence the need to try a new party. He also said Labour Party is the credible alternative party to rescue Nigeria from her present woes.

Also speaking earlier, Hon. Ahmed Bappa, the Igabi local government party Chairman expressed joy with those who have come to.embrace their party, while assuring that more people will soon join the party and that Labour Party will soon become the ruling party in the local government, state and Nigeria.

“We are ready to go into every part of the local government and state to encourage people to embrace the party,” he said.

In the same vein, the Labour Party also held strategic sensitisation of members selected from across the entire wards of the eight local governments that make up the Southern Kaduna Senatorial district.

The meeting which was held at the new world hotel was convened by the Southern Kaduna Coalition of youths and women for Labour Party, according to the Secretary of the coalition, Mr Sunday Kasai.

Earlier in their separate speeches, the Chairman of the coalition, Mr. Danjuma Peter and other speakers such as Mohammed Zakari. Haluta Markus, Sekwogaza Parisa, Mohammed Auwalu. Linda Amani, Laraba Sabo Clement and Aliyu Saleh all committed to working for the total victory of the party’s candidates to include Peter Obi for President. Hon. Jonathan Asake for Governor and Engr. Michael Ayuba Auta for Southern Kaduna Senatorial district among others.
