The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kaduna State chapter zone 3 women leader, Rachael Averik, has distributed educational materials to no fewer than 5,000 children across schools in the southern part of the state.

Speaking during the presentation of the first phase of the materials, Averik, promised more interventions especially to the less privileged.

She said the door-to-door mobilisation for APC candidates would begin as soon as the campaign starts this month.

Averik said: “As you all know, the future of our dear nation lies in the hands of these little ones, that is why we are ensuring they get the basic materials to ease their learning. This initiative was made by the Southern Kaduna APC women leader as a demonstration of my commitment to support less privileged children’s education.

“This is not the first of this kind of gesture, the APC led government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai has prioritised education. He has shown this by granting scholarships to over 11,000 students, secondly, he has ensured that only competent teachers are allowed to teach our children in public schools. He has also made it mandatory for every child in the state to get at least 12 years of basic education free of charge.
