Members of the APC Youths and Students Movement (APCYSM) said they are moving to ensure that the incoming government tackles the rate of poverty and empower youths in the country.

According to them, they are focusing beyond ordinary campaigns and will now focus on issues that directly affect young people such as empowerment, access to quality education and job opportunities.

The group congratulated the party’s members and the entire youth and students’ community in Lagos State for their support during the presidential, National Assembly and governorship elections.

Lagos State coordinator of APCYSM, Hon Abdul Fawaz Olayemi, stated this in a statement shared with journalists yesterday.

“During the election campaign, we engaged with various stakeholders including community leaders, local organisations and fellow youth activists to amplify the voices of the youth and advocate for policies that prioritise our needs and aspirations.

“Our efforts paid off as we were able to generate significant support for our party and contribute to the success of the APC in Lagos State. It was a momentous achievement and I am grateful to have been part of the team that played a role in this success,” Olayemi said.
