General overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has said the country would hardly recover from the damage done to its oil sector in the next 10 to 15 years.

He spoke to journalists in Bauchi yesterday after he paid a condolence visit to Governor Bala Mohammed following the recent death of his stepmother, Hajiya Hauwa Mohammed Duguri.

“It’s now that policies are coming up, now there is the tax issue, I think in the next 10 to 15 years Nigeria will hardly recover from the damage done to its oil sector,” the cleric said.

“What Nigerians are going to accept is what they deserve in the sense that before they cried and we spoke, when somebody comes into the leadership and there was no single manifesto, all the man said was my turn, there is nothing you can hold him for because there was no manifesto.

“So you can see that somebody got into power, Nigeria is now in their hands, so all what Nigerians can do is to resort to prayers. The year 2027 is coming, if they have suffered a lot, they should make a choice,” he added.

Governor Mohammed who received the apostle said, “First of all, I want seize the opportunity to clarify from a man of God, Apostle Johnson Suleman who has spoken and we heard, you have heard him.

“I don’t have any personal grudge against Mr. President. I am one of those who respect the institution of leadership, especially that of the president. You know about my antecedent in the Senate when I voted for the doctrine of necessity.

“It dignified the office of vice president when my boss became the president of Nigeria. On the contrary, I respect President Tinubu, but someone must rise to the occasion to say no. He is surrounded by misfits, and I can now understand from the man of God that he definitely came into governance ill-prepared, without an agenda, without a manifesto.”

The governor said they believed so much in the president because of his pedigree and antecedent as a Lagos governor who was able to do the mandate.

Apostle Suleman, who is in Bauchi for a church crusade and outreach, extended his condolences, commending Governor Mohammed for his inclusive governance, particularly his support for the Christian community in the state.

He prayed for the soul of the late Hajiya Hauwa to rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and for strength for the family during this difficult time.

Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude for the visit and prayers, urging religious leaders across the country to intensify prayers for divine intervention in addressing Nigeria’s multifaceted challenges.
