Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of the North Central APC Forum has again called on president-elect, Bola Tinubu, to pick the director general of his presidential campaign, Governor Simon Lalong, as secretary to the government of the federation (SGF).

The group said appointing Lalong as the SGF would also ensure equity and fairness in the incoming administration’s appointment and that all sides would be motivated and stimulated.

Speaking on behalf of the forum in Jos,  chairman of the forum, Alh Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, said since Governor Lalong had done a lot for the APC as chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, Plateau State and the emergence of Tinubu as the president.

Similarly, the Arewa Youths Forum (AYF) worldwide has also endorsed Governor Lalong for the position of the SGF.

The forum urged the president-elect, Bola Tinubu and the APC to look out for dedicated, patriotic and committed Nigerians ready to contribute positively to the growth and development of the country when constituting the cabinet.

The outgoing governor of Plateau State had lost his bid to go to the senate to represent Plateau South in the red chamber during the February 25 election.

As the director-general of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, he had failed to win the presidential election for the APC. He was also defeated at the governorship polls where his candidate, Nentawe, was floored by the PDP candidate, Mutfwang.
