The Kakakin Samaru and Kaduna State chairman of Gaskiya Dokin Karfe, Alhaji Ali Goslow, has described the appointment of General Christopher Musa as minister of defence as a timely and commendable decision.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Goslow said Musa’s extensive military experience and strategic leadership would significantly strengthen Nigeria’s security apparatus.
He said the nation needs decisive and capable leadership in the defence sector, especially in the face of rising security challenges.
According to Goslow, the new minister’s proven track record in handling complex military operations would instill confidence among security personnel and reassure citizens of the government’s commitment to safeguard the nation.
He added that Musa’s appointment could foster better coordination between the military and other security agencies, a development he believes is crucial for tackling insurgency, banditry and other security threats across the country.
Goslow urged Nigerians to support the minister in his mandate, stressing that unity and collaboration among all stakeholders were vital to achieving lasting peace and stability.
He noted that the defense ministry plays a key role in national development, as security is a prerequisite for progress.
He expressed optimism that under Musa’s leadership, the ministry would not only enhance operational efficiency but also implement policies that would strengthen the welfare of military personnel, ultimately contributing to a more secure and peaceful Nigeria.
