The Nigerian Women for Peace and Unity, and Youth Forum has called on President Bola Tinubu to reconsider the immediate past executive secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Dr. Yakubu Pam, for a national appointment. The women made the call in a press conference in Abuja.

According to the convener of the press conference, Dr. Titilayo Christina Onyia, Pam was dramatically removed from his position before the expiration of his tenure.

Onyia said, “Until last month, he was in charge of the pilgrims of Christians all over Nigeria to various countries with holy sites. He was dramatically uprooted from that office even when his tenure was one and a half years.”

She said Pam’s exemplary leadership sets him apart amongst his peers, and is known by all to be a detribalized Nigerian with a track record of selfless services to Nigeria as a nation.

Therefore, she said they were hopeful that President Tinubu would deem it necessary to assign Dr. Yakubu Pam a new position.

“We are hopeful that our dear President Bola Tinubu would assign Dr. Yakubu Pam a new position that would be a platform for him to continue to serve our nation for the betterment of all citizens.

“We are equally thanking our President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for being a wonderful father to all, irrespective of one’s religion or tribe. We are happy that he has started tackling the economic and security challenges in the country,” she said.
