The Arewa Youths For Peaceful Coexistence has passed a Vote of Confidence on the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The group, which is a platform dedicated to promoting unity, dialogue, and democratic stability across Northern Nigeria and beyond, said at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday that the decision followed a careful and objective assessment of Ganduje’s leadership since his assumption of office in August 2023.

The group led by its national president, Bature Haruna, and its Coordinator in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mark Okpanachi Ogah, noted that under the direction of Ganduje, the APC has recorded major electoral victories in four out of five off-cycle governorship elections in Kogi, Imo, Edo, and Ondo States.

“These wins are not mere coincidences but a clear testament to the focused, strategic, and unifying leadership style of Dr. Ganduje.

“His commitment to internal democracy, youth and women inclusion, and party stability has significantly improved the structure and performance of the APC across the country. He has provided strong, consultative leadership that has bridged divides and resolved internal frictions within the party at both national and sub-national levels,” the group said.

They also noted that the former governor of Kano State has strengthened the base of the party in several regions, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through his leadership.

They commended his openness, calm resolve, and relentless drive to keep the APC united and forward-moving even as they expressed total and unwavering support for him.

“We equally want to thank the APC National Chairman and the party leadership for their democratic principles and inclusivity by advising the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCON, to appoint the FCT Minister, His Excellency Nyesom Wike, into the federal cabinet.

“The FCT Minister has demonstrated that his love for Nigeria transcends political affiliations. Despite not being a member of the APC, he has exemplified a rare spirit of nationalism and service. Within just eleven months in office, he has brought remarkable transformation to the Federal Capital Territory, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“We wish both leaders continued success in their respective offices as they pursue the noble task of repositioning our great nation. We at the Arewa Forum for Peaceful Coexistence hereby pledge our unreserved and undiluted support for our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and its visionary leadership,” the group added.
