He stressed the need for inter-agency cooperation, mutual support and intelligence-sharing between the military and the corps to ensure security and peace in the state.

In his response, Alfadarai commended Domkat for the visit and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to closer synergy with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.

“This visit is a testament to the importance of inter-agency collaboration in maintaining law and order in the state. We will continue to work hand-in-glove to achieve a peaceful and secure environment,” he noted.

In a related development, the Abia Partners for Peace in the Niger Delta, led by the secretary, Nnenna Nna has paid the NSCDC command a similar visit at the state headquarters.

Welcoming them, the commandant acknowledged the need for collective action with partners in maintaining peace and stability in the state.

He said part of the mandates of the corps is peace and conflict resolution through alternative dispute resolution which, he said, is in line with the objectives of the partners.

Earlier in her remarks, Nna expressed the partners’ desire to work with the command to promote peaceful coexistence in conflict-prone areas in the state.
