“I want to convey condolences to the people of Adamawa state over the recent loss of innocent citizens. It is a serious concern, and that is why I am in the state under the directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Waidi Shaibu.

“We are in a position to conduct an operational appraisal to see how to rejig security architecture, especially with a view to improving response time and having early warning mechanisms.

Earlier, the state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting its citizens, following recent security challenges in the state.
