The theatre command, “Operation Hadin Kai”, has debunked reports on social media that it had banned its personnel except under military escort from plying the Damaturu-Buni Gari – Damaturu route linking southern part of Borno State with Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The social media post was refuted by the spokesman of Operation Hadin Kai,  Captain Reuben Kovangiya, who said, “It’s not from us”.

Our correspondent reports that the Damaturu- Buni Gari – Biu route has been a nightmare to the users following the continuous abduction of motorists and passengers plying the road by the Boko Haram terrorists.

One notable abduction was that of Justice Haruna Mshelia of the Borno State High Court alongside his wife a senior magistrate and his driver. His orderly was killed by the terrorists on the spot.

While the judge was recently freed by the terrorists, his wife and the driver are still being held by the terrorists.
