Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), 1 Brigade Chapter, has concluded its 2025 Christmas and end-of-year celebrations with a series of welfare-focused and social activities in the Nigerian Army Cantonment, Gusau, Zamfara State.

As part of the events, the association distributed Christmas and end-of-year gifts to widows, members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association (NASWA), and members of NAOWA. The gesture was intended to appreciate their resilience and reinforce the spirit of care, compassion, and solidarity within the barracks community.

At the event, the zonal coordinator of the NAOWA 1 Brigade Chapter, Mrs Ramat Mustapha Jimoh, expressed her gratitude to the participants for their support and cooperation throughout the year. “We appreciate the support and cooperation of everyone, and we are grateful to the Brigade Commander, 1 Brigade Brig Gen M Jimoh, for his continuous support to NAOWA activities,” she said.

Mrs Jimoh also thanked the Chairperson, NAOWA 8 Division Chapter, Mrs Meg Indidi Ajose, for her guidance, encouragement, and leadership. “Her leadership has been instrumental to the success of our programmes,” Mrs Jimoh said.

The celebrations climaxed on Saturday, 27 December 2025, with a grand finale party that featured children’s games and barracks women’s games, providing a lively and inclusive platform for family bonding, entertainment, and social interaction.

The event brought the 2025 activities of NAOWA 1 Brigade Chapter to a memorable close, leaving participants with renewed hope, joy, and a strengthened sense of community.
