The medical outreach was flagged off by the commander, 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brig-Gen. Harunah Dasuki at College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Okene.

The Army also distributed free educational materials such as notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, erasers and other stationeries to the students of the college.

The commander said the medical and educational outreaches were part of activities under the ongoing “Exercise (EX) Still Waters III” to reach out to the less privileged citizens in the society.

He said the exercise was flagged off on October 30 by the Nigeria Army to ensure that the yuletide period is secured for members of the community where they operate.
