Army To Assess Operations At Conference

Nigerian Army is set to assess its 2024 operations and develop a roadmap for 2025 at the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Annual Conference 2024 next week.

A statement by the army spokesman Major General Onyema Nwachukwu said the conference, which will be chaired by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede,  presents a veritable platform for the assessment of the Nigerian Army’s kinetic and non-kinetic operations with special focus on evaluating the commitment of the army to maintaining operational effectiveness.

The conference according the statement will serve as a critical platform for leadership of the Army and participants to assess the execution of operations, training activities, and key strategic decisions aligned with the Army’s constitutional mandate.

He said participants would rigorously brainstorm and evaluate ongoing efforts in counter terrorism, counter insurgency, anti-banditry.

and other security operations, identifying successes while addressing challenges and proffering improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
