At Last, Federal Gov’t Unveils Successful Candidates For Fire Service Recruitment

After nearly a year of waiting, the Federal Government has officially released the final list of successful candidates for recruitment into the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), Ja’afaru Ahmed, shared the update in a statement on Saturday, confirming that candidates can check the list on the Board’s portal, cdcfib.career, starting from Monday, December 9, 2024.

The statement noted that the final documentation exercise for successful candidates will be held in Abuja at the Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau Conference Center, which is located at the headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional aService (NCoS), from December 9 to 21, 2024.

According to the statement, “Candidates who applied for the FFS recruitment can now visit the Board’s portal at cdcfib.career from Monday, December 9, 2024, to check their status and print their invitation letters.

“The final documentation process for successful candidates will take place at the Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau Conference Center, Nigerian Correctional Service National Headquarters in Abuja, between December 9 and 21, 2024. Applicants are required to wear white tops and shorts, and bring both originals and photocopies of their credentials. They must also ensure they attend on the date specified in their invitation letter.

“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to notify candidates who applied for recruitment into the Federal Fire Service (FFS) to visit the Board’s portal at cdcfib.career from Monday 9th December 2024, to check if they were successful in the final stage of the recruitment exercise and proceed to print their invitation letter,” the statement read in part.

“Applicants are expected to appear in white tops and shorts as well as come along with originals and photocopies of their credentials. They are also to ensure that they appear on the date indicated on their invitation letter and follow the information contained therein strictly,” the statement added.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the development comes after multiple missed deadlines, including promises to complete the recruitment process by June and September this year, which were not fulfilled.
