The first edition of Logo Competition, organised by LEADERSHIP Media Group Limited ended on a bright note yesterday, as the participating students exhibited a high-level of creativity.

The event, held at the headquarters of the media organisation in Abuja, had about five schools participating in logo art designs.

For those who participated in the drawing competition, a computer was assigned to each student at which some minutes were given to test their artistic acumen, with the winners due to be announced soon.

The LEADERSHIP Logo Competition aims to engage and inspire young people aged 13 to 19 by inviting them to design a unique LEADERSHIP Logo that reflects the transition into a new government.

One of the participants, a student of Derique Redeemers’ Private School, Karu, Abuja, Ehizo Christopher commended the organisation for coming up with the competition while also expressing delight for participating in it.

“I feel very happy because this is like one of the first art competitions I am entering.

“My expectation is to come out at least in the third position. The organisation has done very well in organising this competition,” he said.

Also, a student of Noble Height Academy, Ehizo Annabel, said the competition would spur her to take her drawing skills to another level

“I feel excited and I really enjoy drawing, so I wanted to take my drawing to another level and I started doing digital art. This is my first time entering an art competition with digital art and I am very happy that everything went well and I am very happy to be here today.

“The company did great this year and I really appreciate it. Next year I would like to join.”

To Wilson Miracle, a student of Christ Academy International, his school has impacted good knowledge on him which has helped him to participate in the competition.

“That is what brought me here because I am the only one from my school that came here. I’m so grateful to God for bringing me here today,” he said.

Earlier, the senior vice chairman/editor-in-chief of LEADERSHIP, Mr. Azu Ishiekwene, said the competition aims to inspire the students to achieve their potential.

He said, “I am excited to see the level of creativity and genius in some of the designs that you made.

“So, it means that the future is bright and we are happy to be part of that bright future we are trying to promote and encourage.

“So, I hope you have enjoyed the journey so far but I hope that in future we have more opportunities to get you involved in the future of LEADERSHIP,” Ishiekwene added.
