Atalanta’s CEO, Antonio Percassi has shed light on the ongoing transfer situation regarding forward Ademola Lookman.

Percassi revealed that a pact was established a year ago when the club turned down a substantial offer of €20 million from Paris Saint-Germain.

Percassi stated, “The pact with Lookman was made one year ago when we rejected €20m from PSG. We told him: ‘We’ll let you leave in 2025 for a super top club and not in Italy.'”

This declaration indicates Atalanta’s commitment to securing Lookman’s future at a high-profile club, although it appears circumstances may be shifting.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post on his X handle, disclosed that the CEO acknowledged the evolving landscape surrounding Lookman’s potential transfer, particularly in relation to Inter Milan.

“Now, the situation [with Inter] is different… and as always, it’s us deciding,” he added.

He hinted that the Italian club may now have a role to play in Lookman’s future.

With growing interest from various European clubs, Atalanta faces a crucial period as they navigate the transfer market while holding firm to their agreements.
