Atiku Wins ADC Presidential Primary In Zamfara With 60,500 Votes

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election in Zamfara State, polling 60,500 votes out of 61,137 votes cast.

 

Announcing the results in Gusau, the Returning Officer for the ADC Presidential Primary Election Committee in Zamfara, Engr. Namadi Muhammad Musa, said the exercise was conducted across 147 wards in all 14 Local Government Areas of the state.

 

According to Musa, the party had 63,484 registered members in Zamfara State, out of which 61,137 participated in the primary.

 

“Atiku Abubakar, having scored the highest votes, is hereby declared winner of the ADC presidential primary election in Zamfara State,” Musa stated.

 

According to him, Atiku Abubakar scored 60,500 votes, Hayatuddin got 446 votes and Rotimi Amaechi scored 191 votes respectively.

Musa said the election was conducted in accordance with the ADC constitution and electoral guidelines, describing the process as peaceful and orderly.

 

The Zamfara primary is part of the ADC’s nationwide process to select its flag bearer ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
