Leader of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA), Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure has said that Christmas celebration in the area is bleak as a result of the renewed terrorist attacks.
In a statement he signed, Kure said the association is worried that the Christmas celebration is bleak in the midst of renewed attacks on communities in Southern Kaduna, adding that the people cannot be intimidated or cowed to vacate their ancestral land.
He urged the Christendom to use the season in praying for the repose of the souls of those whose lives were cut short by the terrorists and grant speedy recovery to the injured.
Kure, who is also the vision pioneer, Throne Room Trust Ministry, Kafanchan, reminded the people to continue in the spirit of Christmas to show love and extend hands of fellowship to the needy as exemplified during the life and times of Jesus Christ.
He prayed that the birth of Jesus Christ in this season will bring forth total healing in the land and restore hope to the people in this New Year.
The SKCLA chairman, however, reminded those who are yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards, to ensure they do so, so as to actively participate in choosing their leaders come February, 2023.
