AUPCTRE-NYSC Chair Prioritises Members’ Welfare

Newly elected chairman of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Service Employees (AUPCTRE), National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) chapter, Haruna Habib has vowed that his administration will prioritise welfare of members.

He stated this in an interview with the press shortly after the election at the NYSC national Secretariat in Abuja yesterday.

He assured members of the union that he will engage with the management to create a better welfare for them.

„What we intend to do is to engage management, negotiating with them about the welfare of our members.

„Because by the time the members are taken care of the best will come out of them and when the best come out of them, it‘s the goals and the objectives of the Scheme.“

On his part, the representative of the NYSC director general, John Kwaghe, urged the members to support the new administration in order to upgrade the Union.

He further stated that most of those who are on treatment do not achieve normal blood pressure levels mainly because they do not take their medicines regularly.
