A notable author, Ilesanmi Ojo, from Ekiti State, has lauded the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, for her unwavering commitment to women’s inclusion in her husband’s government.
This commendation came during a press conference in Abuja, where Ojo unveiled his latest work, a chronicle of past First Ladies from the era of Lord Lugard to the present day, dedicated to Oluremi Tinubu.
Ojo emphasised that his admiration for the First Lady’s initiatives, leadership qualities, and remarkable accomplishments stems from her tenure as Lagos First Lady.
He sees her as a driving force for women’s empowerment in Nigeria, and as such, his pet project in the form of a magazine chronicle is dedicated to celebrating her achievements.
He said the magazine, already completed and published, will soon be formally launched and presented to the public.
“There is no doubt that Mrs Tinubu is one of the leading women emancipators in Nigeria and requires our support. And the labour of past first ladies is not also left out because I also included them in the project. It is high time we encourage women,” he added.
