Comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has revealed the reasons behind his decision to stop attending physical church services.

In a social media post, the 54-year-old entertainer explained that his choice was due to negative personal experiences with church congregations rather than a loss of faith in God.

Makun shared that he initially opted to worship online to avoid being the subject of public gossip and stares following online controversies surrounding his personal life.

He further noted that after attempting to join a new church, leadership excluded him from a scheduled program due to concerns over public perception, leading him to question whether churches still offer grace and refuge to individuals facing public scrutiny.
