A former Senate president, Senator Ayim Pius Ayim, the senator representing Cross Rivers North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe and the Cross Rivers State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Venatius Ikem, have condoled with Hon. Margret Odey over the death of her mother, Cecellia Agbaje Onah Eba.
Odey is a member of the PDP National Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 polls.
Ebah who died on 29th May, 2022 in Calabar during a brief illness will be buried on Friday, November 11, 2022, in her home town, Abachor, Okpama, in Yala Local government area of Cross Rivers State.
In separate condolence messages, the duo regretted the passage of the octogenarian at a time her wise counsel and service to humanity were needed most and prayed that God will grant the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Ayim said “I have received the notification of the death of late Madam Cecellia Agbaje Onah Eba who triumphantly joined her creator at the age of 85 years, I write to convey my heartfelt condolence to the entire family. Her departure has left a big vacuum in the family when her wise counsel is needed most. On behalf of my family, it is my prayer that God grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
Similarly, Senator Jarigbe said, “I write on behalf of my family, staff, supporters and good people of Cross Rivers North to convey our condolences on the demise of Madam Cecellia Agbaje Onah Eba. Be consoled that she fulfilled the biblical age and lived an accomplished life. She laid a solid foundation for her children and impacted on people.”
Also, Ikem expressed sadness over the loss of the mother, saying “I was disheartened by the sad news of your mother’s death which occurred on 29th May, 2022. I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. On behalf of my family, the PDP Cross Rivers State chapter, I convey our sincere condolence and pray that the good Lord will comfort you and grant you grace to bear the loss.”
