A non-profit organisation, Bagudo Foundation in Bagudo town of Bagudo local government area in Kebbi State has commissioned its office and information and communication technology (ICT) centre in the area aimed at equipping the youths with ICT skills.

The founder and chief executive officer of the foundation, Engr Kabiru Bagudo, disclosed this yesterday to journalists at the maiden edition of prize giving-day ceremony of Bagudo Model Primary School held in Bagudo town.

He said the ICT centre was established by the member representing Bagudo/Suru federal constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Bello Ka’oje under his constituency project and was handed over to the foundation for continuity while the office accommodation was constructed by the foundation.

Other activities of the foundation, according to him, are the renovation of the administrative block of the Bagudo Model Primary School, sponsorship of indigent pupils of the primary school to secondary up to university level, training of secondary school students and registration for NIN cards.

Bagudo added that the foundation which was established three months ago has succeeded in easing registration of NECO, JAMB and WAEC for the eligible candidates from the area who hitherto goes to far distances to register for the examinations.

According to him, the ICT Centre would soon commence the registration of JAMB, NIN, WAEC, NECO and other eligible and certified registration in order to avoid going far due to the current fuel hike and hardship faced by people in the area.

He said the foundation would liaise with other NGOs to bring positive developments to the area, Kebbi State and the country.
