Governor of Kebbi State Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has constituted a committee to ensure local government and Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) workers received their leave grant which he recently approved.

In a statement signed yesterday by the head of civil service, Sufiyanu Garba Bena, the state government said members of the committee comprise of representatives of the office of the head of service, auditor-general and his officials, the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Local Government Service Commission and the labour union.

It mandated the committee to ensure that all payments of the leave grant must be through the respective staff bank accounts and payments should be completed within three to four days after the committee’s assignment.

“The exercise is to ensure that all staff members of the local government and the local government education authority receive what is due to them according to government’s approval,” Bena added.
