Bandits Kill Village Head, 3 Others In Kebbi

Over 70 bandits have attacked Tungar Rafi village in Augie local government area of Kebbi State killed village head of the area, Abubakar Magaji aka Sabo (Rafi) and three others before they flee.

A survivor from the attack who craved anonymity disclosed this to leadership in Augie town yesterday during an interview over the unfortunate incident.

He said the bandits attacked the village in the night when people asleep and went straight to village head house and killed him and another other on their way to flee the area.

He added that the attackers also abducted the wife and child of the village head after they killed him.

‘’it’s the first time such incident happened in this village even though we have been hearing of such attacks in some communities in this area in recent times’’ the survivor said.

Our men came out in large numbers to repel their attack in the village as they killed our village head and three others together with abduction of his wife and child but, unfortunately, they ran away.’’ He added.

Contacted the police public relation officer in the state, SP Nafi’u Abubakar said they yet to receive the incident from the DPO of the area.
