Entering Into Business

Banke said: “in 2016, I found myself homebound, sick, slowly recovering from two c-sections in 11 months and broke. It was the most trying time of my life where I felt that everything that could go wrong had gone wrong. I was depressed about my loss of financial independence and resolved to do something about it. I might have been frail of body but my mind was as sharp as a tack and I decided to look for a means to earn a living, a remote opportunity definitely as I was too ill to seek a physical job. My search led me to virtual assistance.

“A virtual assistant is a professional who offers business services remotely which was exactly what I needed. I finally launched in September 2017 as a social media manager and made the pivot to Tech related services in 2019.

“Late 2018, I decided to share my knowledge of virtual assistance with women. I saw quite a few women every day in similar situations I was in who did not know what to do or how to do it to get out of the situations they found themselves in. So, I launched a virtual assistant training course and I began to officially coach new and aspiring virtual assistants.”

She noted that, “my goal is to make it possible for every woman who aspires to build a work-from-home business to be able to access information, training & resources that will help her build a profitable business irrespective of her financial situation.”

Motivation

Banke said: “I started my first business when I was 13, by 18, I had a structured business and so at every point in time in my life, I had some form of money-making venture going on. I understood early on in my life the importance being financially independent, not because I wanted to contribute to the needs at home, but there is a certain sense of self-worth that comes with the ability to cater to your own needs and in turn be a blessing to others.

“When this sense of self-worth began to greatly decrease in 2016, I knew real fear and concern and it was what spurred me up to seek a way to build a work from home business despite my illness.”

“It is my utmost desire to restore the dignity and self-worth of women who are currently unable to earn a living or are not financially independent by making training, resources, and information available and to provide a platform where they can be hired, so that they can be financially independent in every sense of the word.”

Challenges

She said: “one of the major challenges that I faced launching in 2017 was adequate and relevant information about virtual assistance, especially, on this side of the world. I could not find what I needed and had to do a lot of trial and error. This is one of the driving forces behind my coaching business, a dedication to making relevant information available so that any woman who is interested has adequate information to launch.

Advice

“I see a future where the self-worth, self-esteem & happiness of women are on an all-time high because they are financially independent and able to take care of themselves, contribute to their families, and are valuable and beneficial to their communities leading to a more wholesome society but this will only be possible if we all take the bulls by the horns and go after our dreams. Do the work, pay the price and above all put God first. It works every time.”
