Afeez, who was part of the players invited to the camp of the Eagles in preparation for the CHAN qualifiers, is strongly backing the Eagles to pick the ticket at the expense of Ghana, saying, that even though he is not with the team right now, he is confident the eagles have enough quality to seal the ticket against of their biggest football rivals.

The former Nasarawa United star and assistant captain of Smart City FC believes the Eagles are hungry to be part of the next CHAN tournament after missing a few editions.

“We all know, it’s always a classic when it comes to Nigeria and Ghana. It’s a clash of the titans, but I strongly believe we will get the better of them this time because we have good quality players in our team to do the job in the final battle in Nigeria this weekend,” he said.

“It’s the pride of every player to represent his country at international tournaments, and we have too much quality in our league not to be part of the CHAN tournament because I still have a part to play in the team when we qualify for the tournament”, he added
