Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has agreed personal terms with Liverpool, according to L’Equipe, though the two clubs remain some distance apart in negotiations over a transfer fee.

The 23-year-old France international has informed PSG that he does not wish to extend his current contract, which runs until the summer of 2028, and has set his sights on a move to the Premier League. Barcola recently held positive discussions with new Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola and senior club officials, during which the outlines of a potential move to Anfield were discussed.

While the player has reached an agreement in principle with the Merseyside club, no formal contract has been signed. Barcola is understood to be fully committed to securing the transfer, having grown frustrated with his frequent role as a substitute in PSG’s most important matches over recent months.

Regularly deployed as a “12th man” under the current coaching staff, the Lyon-born attacker now believes the time is right to seek regular starting opportunities elsewhere.

Liverpool have emerged as his preferred destination, and Barcola is now focused exclusively on pushing through a move to Anfield. He hopes that his personal understanding with the English club will help accelerate the broader negotiations.

However, completing the deal remains a complex operation. Liverpool officials have opened preliminary talks with their PSG counterparts, but the two European heavyweights are yet to find common ground on valuation.

While the French champions are now open to sanctioning Barcola’s departure this summer, they are holding out for a substantial fee that could comfortably surpass the €120 million mark—a figure Liverpool have so far been unwilling to match.
