The executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gamawa Ward of Gamawa local government area of Bauchi State, has suspended the National Ex-Officio of the party indefinitely, Sirajo Dada, over alleged anti-party activities.

LEADERSHIP reports that the Gamawa Ward APC  executives also accused Mr Dada of greed and hoarding of resources meant to be use to campaign for the success of the party’s candidates in the build-up to the presidential, National Assembly and gubernatorial and State Assembly elections respectively.

He was accused of using the party resources to campaign for candidates of the rival Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Addressing a press conference at the Gamawa local government APC secretariat on Saturday, party deputy chairman of Ward, Musa Garba Mohammed, said the 18-member ward executive committee of the party unanimously passed a vote of no confidence on Mr Dada.

“We observed with utmost dismay that, Sirajo Dada who is the National Ex-Officio of the All Progressives Congress (APC) worked against the success of the party in Gamawa local government. He engaged in anti-party activities during the elections and he was caught buying votes for People Redemption Party (PRP).

“Further investigations discovered that, most of his closest allies worked for the opposition parties.

“In view of the foregoing, we hereby pass a vote of no confidence on Sirajo Dada and suspend him indefinitely as a member of our party with immediate effect.

“In line with Article 21 (2) Offences against the party (II) anti-party activities or any conduct which is likely to embarrass or has adverse effect on the party or bring party into hatred, contempt, ridicule or disrepute,” he said.

Confirming this development, Gamawa LGA APC Chairman, Ahmed Saleh Supa, said the party has received a formal decision of the executives of Gamawa Ward against Dada in line with laid down rules governing operations of the party.

He said same will be transmitted to the Bauchi State APC chairman, Babayo Aliyu Misau, for onward communication to the national leadership of the party.
