In a congratulatory message, the speaker of the House, Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, described the award as a well-deserved recognition of the governor’s visionary leadership, selfless service to humanity, and impactful developmental projects across all 20 local government areas of the state.

“Indeed, this award is a perfect fit. Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently demonstrated an understanding of the challenges facing the people and has applied exceptional leadership skills in managing limited resources,” the Speaker said.

He further highlighted the governor’s journey from journalism to public service, noting that the experience prepared him for the transformational agenda now being implemented under the ‘My Bauchi Project’.

According to a statement released by the speaker’s media aide, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, Governor Mohammed’s administration has transformed key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, natural resources, and security.

He also commended the governor’s commitment to urban and rural renewal through extensive road construction and expansion projects.

The speaker added that workers’ welfare has been a top priority, evidenced by the implementation and payment of the new national minimum wage in the state.

He also praised the governor for embracing the federal government’s decision to grant autonomy to local governments and expressed optimism that the judiciary and legislature in Bauchi State are on the path to full independence.

The speaker also commended the governor for ongoing construction of two modern flyovers at Wunti and Central Market, which he said, upon completion, will ease transportation and enhance the aesthetic appeal of Bauchi city.

“On behalf of the entire Honourable Members, Principal Officers, and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people’s Governor a political strategist, visionary decision-maker, dedicated leader, and champion of development on this well-earned recognition,” he said.
