In a decisive move to enhance educational development, the Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on Education yesterday concluded its inspection of the 2022/2023 UBEC/SUBEB renovation and construction projects across the 20 local government areas of the state.
The oversight tour, led by the committee chairman and member representing Chinade/Madara constituency, Dr. Nasiru Ahmed Ala, was aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with standards in the execution of primary school infrastructure projects.
Dr. Ala disclosed that the committee is now compiling its findings into a detailed, data-driven report to be presented before the State Assembly.
The report is expected to inform legislative deliberations and possible passage for executive assent.
He reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to presenting an objective report grounded in expert assessments and engineering evaluations.
According to him, the report will guide the government’s next steps, particularly in areas where implementation is lagging or requires further intervention.
On the last day of the tour, the team visited several schools, including Sindigawo-Jauro Kawu Cheledi Primary School, in Kirfi Local Government, and Haruna Memorial Primary School, Gokaru Primary School, Yelwan Galambi Primary School, Yashi Primary School all in Alkaleri local government, as well as Federal Low Cost Primary School, Kobi Model Primary School in Bauchi local government among others.
