A Christian cleric, Revd John Sarki of Bauchi Police Headquarters Church, has warned youths to avoid using the Internet and social media to perpetrate cybercrimes and cyberstalking.
he urged them to live lives anchored on obedience to God and faith.
Sarki, in a sermon, urged Christians to abandon materialism and criminal activities, to live upright lives anchored on faith, obedience to God and service to humanity.
He also warned worshippers against money-mongering, cybercrime, and other social vices.
Reverend Sarki stressed that such practices are contrary to Christian values and expose individuals to moral and spiritual decay.
To him, believers must pursue their livelihoods through lawful and honest means.
Similarly, Reverend Yakubu Waziri Ribina of ECWA Church, Bayara, admonished Christians to consistently apply the teachings of the Holy Scriptures in their daily affairs.
He urged believers to allow biblical principles to guide their decisions at home, in the workplace, and within society, while shunning all forms of evil conduct.
Reverend Ribina added that practising the Word of God promotes discipline, love, and accountability among believers.
He called on followers to engage in fervent and continuous prayers for the peace, unity, and stability of the nation.
He emphasised that prayer remains a powerful tool for national healing and divine intervention.
Reverend Waziri further encouraged Christians not to lose hope despite prevailing challenges, urging them to trust God for direction and restoration.
