The executive secretary of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Bauchi State, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, has announced the extension of the 2025 Hajj registration period for intending pilgrims in the state.
Speaking with journalists yesterday, Abdurrahman emphasised that the extension, which runs until the end of February, presents a crucial opportunity for those aspiring to perform Hajj.
He urged intending pilgrims to complete their payments as soon as possible to secure their slots before the deadline.
He also advised intending pilgrims to strictly adhere to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) during their pilgrimage.
He also cautioned them to be mindful of their conduct and to ensure they perform Hajj with sincerity, discipline, and devotion.
Furthermore, Imam Abdurrahman urged pilgrims to uphold a positive image of themselves and their community, both during and after the pilgrimage.
He warned against any actions that could bring disrepute, stressing the importance of leaving a good legacy.
The executive secretary also revealed that Bauchi State remains one of the states with the highest number of registered pilgrims under the Hajj Savings Scheme across Nigeria, highlighting the commitment of its people to fulfilling this important religious obligation.
Earlier, the board announced that all intending pilgrims who want to participate in 2025 Hajj exercise from the state will pay N8,457,685,50 as Hajj fare.
