Bauchi Gov Honoured For Outstanding Performance On Infrastructure, Rural Devt

The Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed has been recognised with the prestigious ‘Nigeria Service Award’ in Abuja for his exemplary leadership and transformative contributions to infrastructure and rural development in his state.

A statement issued by his media aide yesterday and made available to journalists in Bauchi said the award underscores Bala’s dedication to uplifting the living standards of citizens of Bauchi through good governance and inclusive policies.

“This  is in recognition of his proactive efforts and relentless commitment to the growth and development in key areas of the economy which has significantly impacted  the lives of many citizens of Bauchi State by providing job opportunities and increasing the state appeal for foreign investment thereby improving its economic viability,” Gidado said.

He added that Governor Mohammed’s achievements extend far beyond infrastructure and rural development, as his administration has made significant strides across various sectors, earning him accolades and respect nationwide.

LEADERSHIP reports that the Nigeria Service Awards recognizes trailblazers and change-makers who have exceeded expectations in creating positive change in communities and States across Nigeria.

The event which took place at the famous Merit House, Maitama, Abuja has as its theme “Leveraging Diversity For National Growth” and was attended by prominent Nigerians.

Governor Bala Mohammed was represented at the event by his Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado and supported by Staff of the Bauchi State Liaison office, Abuja.

The statement further said: “It is on record that Governor Mohammed’s administration has revamped the healthcare sector by upgrading primary healthcare centers in rural communities and constructing modern hospitals. His commitment to accessible healthcare has drastically reduced maternal and child mortality rates in Bauchi State.

“In the area of educational advancement he introduced innovative policies that  has improved access to quality education by constructing new blocks of classrooms, rehabilitating schools, providing teaching materials, and employing qualified teachers. The e initiative has seen a remarkable increase in school enrollment and literacy rates across the state.”

While receiving the award, Governor Mohammed said “I am deeply honored to receive this award, which reflects the collective efforts of my administration to deliver impactful governance. We remain committed to building a Bauchi State where every citizen has access to opportunities, security, and a better quality of life.

Governor Mohammed also unveiled “The Eminence Magazine”, a product of the event with a token to support the organizers.

“The Nigeria Service Award highlights the transformative leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, whose administration continues to serve as a model for sustainable development and good governance in Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
