Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has dropped five Commissioners from his cabinet as part of his strategic effort to reinvigorate governance and ensure optimal service delivery to the people of the state.
The affected Commissioners include Dr. Jamila Mohammed Dahiru, Education; Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu, Internal Security and Home Affairs; Comrade Usman Danturaki who was dropped as Commissioner of Information and Communication; Professor Simon Madugu Yalams, Agriculture; as well as Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza.
A statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the state Governor, Mukhtar Gidado on Tuesday, said the cabinet reconstitution was a routine measure aimed at enhancing the administration’s effectiveness.
Gidado added that the move reflects the administration’s commitment to injecting new ideas and energy into governance in line with the Governor’s vision of strengthening the machinery of government and addressing emerging challenges effectively.
Governor Mohammed extended his appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their dedication, service, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Bauchi State.
He also testified that their efforts have been instrumental in advancing key initiatives and policies of his administration.
Governor Bala wished them success in their future endeavours, expressing confidence that they will continue to contribute meaningfully to the progress of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
Furthermore, the Governor also forwarded the names of the following individuals for security clearance and subsequent confirmation as Honourable Commissioners and Members of the State Executive Council by the Bauchi State House of Assembly.
New nominees are Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde from Toro Local Government; Abdullahi Mohammed; Misau Local Government; Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi, Dass local Government; Usman Usman Shehu, Shira Local Government and Iliyasu Aliyu Gital from Tafawa Balewa Local Government.
Others are Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah, Tafawa Balewa Local Government; Hon Adamu Babayo Gabarin, Darazo Local Government as well as Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam from Toro Local Government area.
