LEADERSHIP reports that the Waziri, which is a coveted office in traditional Hausa-Fulani emirates, works as most senior kingmaker answerable to the emir only.

The emir who presented both the appointment letter and certificate of appointment to the governor in his office, said the decision of the Emirate Council to appoint the governor in that capacity followed his track record of achievements.

“Following the approval and resolution of Dass Emirate Council, I humbly write and convey to you the approval of the Council for your conferment as Wazirin Dass and Council Member in the Emirate.

“The council’s decision in the conferment of the title was based on your good and sterling qualities, sense of patriotism and productivity which has brought tremendous development to Dass Emirate, Bauchi State and the entire nation,” the emir said.
