The Bauchi State government has appointed six judges for the Small Claims Court for quick access to justice in the state.
The appointed judges have been inaugurated and have been given an orientation programme ahead of their assumption of duty.

The Chief Judge said they are a specialised type of court that have simplified procedures for simple monitoring of commercial disputes at the district Court level, even without a lawyer, and each case should be completed within two months or less.
On his part, the chairman Judicial Committee on Small Claims Court, Justice Muazu Abubakar, appreciated the Chief Judge for approving the initiative.
