Bauchi State government has commenced the construction of an ultra-modern Divisional Police Headquarters in Duguri as part of efforts to strengthen law enforcement infrastructure in the state.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony of the project on Saturday, Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in maintaining peace and order.
The governor also announced plans renovate and rehabilitate the Futuk Divisional Police Headquarters and upgrade the operational base in Mansur.
Mohammed, who was represented by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau, also assured of his commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force by providing advanced security facilities.
He described the projects as a government’s strategic move to enhance internal security operations and to ensure that police personnel are well-equipped to handle emerging security challenges.
The governor appreciated the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, for his continued dedication to protecting lives and property.
He emphasised the importance of collaboration between state government and security agencies in maintaining peace and safety of citizens.
