The Bauchi State government has provided the state chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) with land at the Open Air Theatre Complex.
The state chairman, Mohammed Shuaibu, disclosed in an interaction with journalists in Bauchi yesterday that the government secured the land for traditional medicine sellers to modernise and sanitise traditional medicine activities for improved inherited ways of healing.
The chairman, Chroman Askan Alkaleri, called on traditional medicine patronisers to locate clients in the Open Air Theatre Complex for their health consumables. Therefore, he appealed to his members to continuously support the present administration’s developmental policies.
Dr Mohammed Shuaibu expressed appreciation to the state Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for acquiring the land to maintain traditional artefacts and healthcare sustainability in the state.
Also, the Bauchi local government chairman of the Association of Traditional Medicine Practitioners, Ilyasu Adamu, said the market will improve their business standard and thanked the government for its effort in that direction.
