The Bauchi State Deputy Governor and State Chairman Boundary Commission, Auwal Jatau, has promised to work and support the National Joint Committee on Field Validation and Harmonisation of Nigerian Wards Boundaries, which is in the state for an official assignment.

Jatau made this known through his special assistant on boundary matters, Ahmad Garba when he led a team from the National Boundary Commission (NBC) on a field validation and harmonization of Nigerian boundaries to conduct the exercise in Bauchi North and Central Zones of the state.

He said the present administration of Governor Bala Muhammad is determined to find lasting solutions to the boundary disputes across the state.

He used the medium to commend the efforts of the director general of the National Boundary Commission and the surveyor general of the federation for doing everything possible to provide platforms for resolving boundary disputes in the states of the federation.

The team leader, Hafiz Aziz, said the exercise would provide lasting solutions to the boundary disputes and border encroachment in neighbouring states, hence the need for selected wards in the state to support them for effective service delivery.
