Bauchi Govt, UNICEF Sign 2025 Annual Work Plan

Bauchi State government, through the Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning, and Multilateral Coordination has signed the 2025 annual work plan with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

At the ceremony o yesterday, the chief of the UNICEF Bauchi Field Office, Dr Nuzhat Rafique, said the workplan was developed with relevant ministries, agencies and stakeholders in the state.

They include the health, education, WASH, nutrition as well as social and behavioural change sectors.

Rafique called for the full support and cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the planned activities.

On her part, the state commissioner for Economic Planning, Hon Amina Katagum, expressed gratitude to UNICEF for its partnership, especially its technical and financial support for child-focused programmes.

She reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting UNICEF’s initiatives to enhance focus, improve efficiency and address identified gaps.

A statement by the information officer of the ministry, Aisha Bamai, emphasised that the signing of the workplan marks the formal commitment of both parties to achieving their objectives for a successful and impactful year.
