Bauchi State Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau has inaugurated a Human Capital Development initiative aimed at unlocking the huge human capital potential of the state.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the programme yesterday in Bauchi, Jatau said the state was very pleased to be part of the initiative.
He said keying into the initiative would assist in providing equitable access to affordable and quality health care services, promote quality, inclusive and functional education system as well as empower youths on the capacity and skills to create employment.
The deputy governor recalled that the state had benefited under the first phase of the HCD programme in the past three years and expressed confidence that the new council would work with a renewed approach and strategic innovations to harness the full potential of the state on human resource.
According to him, the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed is working assiduously to ensure the implementation of robust socio-economic policies that hinge on building sound infrastructural facilities to stimulate economic activities for sustained growth, aimed at addressing the growing population in the state.
