Bauchi NIPR Elects New Exco

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Bauchi State Chapter, has elected Mallam Mohammed Rabi’u Wada as chairman of its affairs for the next two years.

Mallam Mohammed is the deputy registrar, Public Relations, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.

The election which was held yesterday during its 2023 annual general meeting (AGM) in Bauchi, also saw the institute elect Dr Nazifi Abba Pali of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi as vice chairman.

While inaugurating the newly elected executives, the chairman, Elders Advisory Council of the chapter, Mallam Muhammad Inuwa Bello, commended the immediate past executives for providing a level playing ground for the council to be vibrant.

The new chairman, Mr Rabiu Wada appreciated the members of the council for their overwhelming support and pledged to consolidate on the achievements of past leaders of the chapter and take the institute to a greater height.

Rabiu called for cooperation, support and prayers for wisdom to steer the leadership of the council.

The outgoing chairman, Mr Kabiru Kobi, appreciated members for all the support that improved the drive of the council across both public and private sectors in the state.

Keynote speaker, Hajiya Amina Katagum, urged members of the institute to be professional in communicating with the public and organisations to enhance the needed relationship.

Other executive members, who were returned unopposed, are Mohammed Tanimu Gambo from the Public Relations Unit of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi as the secretary; Abdulkadir Shehu, from the Public Relations Unit of ATBU as assistant secretary and Muslim Lawal as the public relations officer.

Others are Hassan Ismail as the financial secretary, Mrs Aisha Bamai as the treasurer and Shamsu Dauda as the auditor.
