Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has praised the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for its commitment to improving access to quality healthcare in the state.

The governor made the remarks when he received a delegation from the Gates Foundation at the Government House.

He highlighted the foundation’s contributions to the state’s healthcare sector, including the construction of clinics and hospitals, the provision of drugs, and the training of healthcare workers.
He also commended the organisation for its commitment to making healthcare services affordable and accessible to the people, particularly in rural areas.

The governor emphasised the importance of sustainability and continuity in the partnership and requested the foundation’s assistance in developing local solutions to healthcare challenges.

He noted that the state had made significant progress in improving healthcare services, but there was still much work to be done.
