A statement issued yesterday by the commission’s information officer, Saleh Umar, revealed that the decision was reached during the commission’s 32nd plenary session held on September 11, 2025, at its conference hall.

According to the release, the disciplinary action followed the completion of all due processes as outlined in Rule 0317 of the Bauchi State Public Service Rules and Regulations, after which Mr. Joshua was found guilty of violating Rules 0327 (xxviii and xxix) relating to sexual harassment.

The chairman of the commission, Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, stressed that the dismissal was in strict adherence to established regulations, adding that the action was not intended as punishment but as a necessary step to preserve discipline, integrity, and accountability in the service.

He further noted that the decision reminds all civil servants that professionalism and adherence to service rules remain the foundation of effective governance.

Meanwhile, at the same sitting, the commission approved the elevation of two deputy directors to acting directors of Physical Planning and Development Control on Grade Level 16.
