Bauchi Seeks Air Surveillance On Border Communities

Governor of Bauchi State Bala Mohammed has called on the Nigerian Air Force to intensify air surveillance in border communities to ensure peace and stability.

The governor said this in an interaction with the outgoing Air Officer Commanding the Special Operations Command of the Nigerian Air Force Base Bauchi, Air-Vice Marshal Eniobong Effiong.

Governor Mohammed appreciated the contributions of Air Vice Marshal Effiong during his tenure in Bauchi and acknowledged that more need to be done to combat crime in the state.

He emphasised the importance of collaboration between the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies to achieve this goal.

Muhammed added that his administration had been committed to partnering security agents to promote peace and stability in Bauchi State and environs.

Earlier, Air Vice Marshal Effiong, in his address, thanked Governor Mohammed for his support during his stay in Bauchi and assured that the Nigerian Air Force would continue to work with the state government to promote peace and stability in the state and the country.

Effiong has since been posted to the Office of the National Security Adviser in Abuja.
