The Bauchi State government has reassured of its readiness to strengthen partnerships with higher institutions of learning for the state’s educational development.
The deputy governor, Auwal Jatau gave the assurance in his address during the maiden graduation ceremony of Al-Muhibba Institute of ICT and Entrepreneurship held at the Event Centre, Bauchi over the weekend.
Jatau said that collaboration is key to enhancing educational standards and ensuring that youths are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in an ever-evolving world, adding that the government will continue to work alongside educational institutions, both public and private to create programmes that enhance the quality of education and increase accessibility for all.
He noted that education is the bedrock of any prosperous society, and therefore extended the deepest appreciation of the Government and the good people of Bauchi State to the chancellor, Al-Muhibba Open University who is the state’s first lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, for her foresight in establishing the Al-Muhibba Open University.
To him, the efforts of Al-Muhibba Open University at creating accessible, high-quality educational opportunities will go a long way in transforming the lives of students as it has provided countless citizens with the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to societal development.
“Al-Muhibba Open University stands as a testament to our belief in the potential of our youth and the transformative power of Knowledge. I want to congratulate all graduating students for having the rare privilege to be among the first set of graduates of this high-standard higher institution.
“The Bauchi State Government recognizes that education is a cornerstone for growth, empowerment, and sustainability. It is on this that we will remain committed to fostering an environment that promotes learning and innovation,” he said
The registrar of the university, Barrister Muslim Maigari said the university has since partnered with renowned institutions of learning to provide students with top-notch education and opportunities.
Other government officials at the occasion are the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, the state PDP chairman, Pharm. Samaila Burga, commissioners and special advisers.
